Handwritten and signed letter. This item was written at the headquarters of the Irish brigade at Corpus Christi, Texas on Feb. 24, 1846 and is addressed to Zachary Taylor. Worth defends his actions in the field and explains that he cannot render himself subject to the appropriate authority.
